Vox Hunt: A Really Good Flick

Great movie!! Very faithful to the book.

Interesting how the violence becomes less explicit as the movie goes along and how we don't see the ones most integral to the story.

I read this quote in a review and really think it is true: "It's not so much a genre movie as an elegy for a whole country, a violent film about violence."

very well said...what do you think of the ending? and i think i missed the part about the money, was it really all spent?

I think the "bad" guy got it out of the a/c duct in the hotel because we saw the coin on the floor when Tommy Lee Jones went back to the hotel (and saw him crouched in the darkness).

We don't really have a timeline of the time between that scene and the one where he goes to kill the wife .... so he could've spent it all.

hhmmm, i didn't see the part where tommy lee jones sees the bad guy on the floor....darn! i figured the bad guy had the money but remember when the "wife" says to the bad guy at the end, "we've spent all the money"? that part confused me i guess.

do you like the way it ended?

I LOVED this film! I want to see it again. I love how the beginning scene was Lewellyn the hunter, then became the hunted. I love how the ruthless hit man was so cold, no humanity, making the wife choose heads or tails. I like that she would not make the choice, it was HIS choice to walk away, he could have walked away and not killed her. I think he killed her because he felt that choice was not his. He was not after the money, he was in it for the hunt.
you are so right...you bring up some great points. i was so confused at the end of the movie and have been analyzing ever since. what do you think about the ending?
that he is indestructible! Evil will always be there to battle, it never goes away.
perfect, that's what i thought. thanks. : )
