L-O-V-E:
- i am getting a brand new computer at work because of the viruses. my boss said to me, see that's what happens when you look at porn. LOLs! he was totally kidding. i told him i did it on purpose so that i could get a new one! he said he was going to blackmail me and i said "OK, i will pay you off".
- labor day weekend, no work next monday
- that my bff is recovering well from his surgery and i will get to see him soon. plus he's getting an iPhone too! we call each other "wonder twins" and when we see each other we say "wonder twin powers...activate!" then we hit knuckes. we're retarded i know.
- that i am going to hang out with my cousin/little sis at her baby shower on sunday.
- hubby is going to the races over the weekend so i will have some "me" time on sunday. ;-)
- we went to my 12 year old cousin's birthday party on saturday night and we had a blast. here are some pics...
- today is my brother frank's 33rd birthday...happy birthday bro! we're getting together with some friends for thai food and then we're going to watch pineapple express. i can't wait. i love to celebrate birthdays especially when they are other peeps'.
- tomorrow i am off, woo hoo! we're having a mini family reunion out of town. i am really excited and cannot wait to see my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
- i've been on an interpol kick and cannot stop listening to them.
- i've been thinking of getting a laser procedure done for my embarrasing clammy hands. i think i have a nervous tick..ugh. need to do more research. what say you?
- the other day i went furniture shopping with my bff. we had a great time checking out some really nice and some really awful looking furniture. i'm looking for a chocolate leather sofa chair and ottomon..no luck. he ended up getting a tv stand for his plasma. it's very unique and very him...60's style. i cannot wait to share the pic with you guys...i can't even explain it right now. we had dinner at a little greek place in larchmont. i had chicken with 3 different types of cheese, roasted bell pepper and onions wrapped in a filo dough with a side of veggies and lemony potaoes. delish!!!
- i met an old friend for coffee the other night. we hadn't seen each other for over a year and a half. we talked for a longgg time, said some "i'm sorry's", had some good belly laughs, played catch up and cannot wait to get together again. *sigh*
- life is good.
- last night after getting my nails did (lol) some ramdom ahole in a ford expedition let me turn first at the stop sign, as i proceeded to turn left he called me an f'n bitch. WTF? so i just smiled and drove even slower.
- tons of peeps were walking and running this morning on my way to work...they've inspired me.
- am i the only one working this holiday week? the streets are sooo empty.
- my poor roxy is walking around the house terrified because of the fireworks. he keeps his froggy toy in his mouth and hides in his bed. i guess they are his security blanket.
- we're all going out tonight to another 80's concert to start the 4th of july holiday early.
- tomorrow a couple friends and family are getting together at my house to bbq then we're checking out my friend's fireworks display.
- i need to go shopping this weekend for a wedding gift and an outfit for me...wish me luck.
- i uploaded firefox 3.0 yesterday and lost all my bookmarks, UGH!

- i'm supposed to meet up with my g/f today for dinner...i haven't heard from her yet so i guess i shouldn't be surprised. i'm not going to call he either to confirm...whateves
- my bff is getting us tickets to another concert for this friday, this time it's old school rap and disco. can't wait to get my boogie on and break out my aqua net!
- i'm having subway for lunch today...yay. i didn't even have to pick it up!!!
- we cleaned the house last night, love it!
- i am thinking about getting the new iphone. i just called today for plans and it looks pretty pricey $80/month roughly.
- i told hubby last night that we should cancel our august vacation plans and go to hawaii at the end of the year instead...
hubby and i had a really nice and busy weekend. ever since i got sick with a cold and had bad allergies i've had a terrible headache. no matter how many aleeve's i take, it doesn't seem to go away. it's sord of comes and goes. today is getting worse but i'm trying to ignore it.
grrr!!!
we went to bass pro shop on saturday, hubby has been wanting to go for the longest time. the place is huge and it's a outdoors man/woman's paradise! he bought several fishing lures and a rod. he was in hog heaven! we shopped a little at the next door outdoor mall and afterwards had lunch. we stopped at lowes, then the grocery store and then headed home to relax. i was pooped!
i was hoping i would feel better on sunday but i didn't. i got so tired of laying in bed that i made myself get up and do some gardening while hubby took our car to get an oil change. once he got home he decided to join in and help me out. we decided to pull some old plants and are planning on replanting some better looking ones tonight.
on saturday we got news that my cousin who just got married in december is 1 month pregnant...WOW, how soon! congrats to her and her hubby!

hubby and i had dinner last night at jax bar and grill in glendale. the last time we were there was about 10 years ago or more! we used to live closer to glendale when we were first married so we'd frequent pretty often. it was fun to be back and reminisce. hubby didn't remember that much of it but i remember it like it was yesterday. i cannot believe we've been married over 13 years...time flies!!!
after dinner we wanted to satisfy my sweet tooth at portos next door but unfortunately it was closed! we decided to head towards toluca lake to bob's big boy to check out the classic cars. the place was packed and the cars are awesome! we love classic cars and most of all i love that old car smell. it brings back memories of high school and the boyfriend's i had.
dessert in los feliz SUCKED but at least we got time to catch up and LOL...
seems like i've been sleeping all day...last night after dinner at wood ranch, shopping, and catching up on lost's recent episode i decided to take some of hubby's cold med to get some sleep. you see he's been sick with a cold and has been snoring louder than ever! so i woke up around 7:30ish still sleepy with a numb head. i remembered that we had to take our car in to get the breaks done so that was the end of my sleeping in.
bleh.
it's been cold and drizzly all day which makes me even more sleepy. *yawn* after a big breakfast i took a nap while hubby was working on the yard. later we planted some flowers and then picked up the car. came back home, had lunch and took another nap while watching all about eve. what a great movie it is even after watching it 10 or more times!
i have plans for dinner with my buddy tonight. we haven't seen each other since last december so we are way over due for a long visit.
tomorrow i will be hanging out with my girlfriend to celebrate her daughters bday at club libby lu. wish us luck!
lately i've been noticing i ask friends, co-workers, etc. how they are doing or what they will be doing over the weekend and they go on and tell me in great detail. sometimes i even get very personal details, this happens to me all the time, sometimes even from strangers! some people at times feel very comfortable with me and tell me very personal details about their lives and most of the time ask me for advice. i love to listen. i love to hear other people's stories. i am a great listener.
anyway back to my point, i listen to their responses intently. well i automatically assume they will ask me right back how i'm doing, what i'm doing, etc. but they don't. i am pretty reserved so i don't talk too openly about my life so it's not like i'm looking to talk. i don't know if it's because maybe they are preoccupied or perhaps they just don't care? OR maybe they are so self-absorbed that they only want to hear themselves talk? grrr.
what's up with that?

- pack up all christmas decorations, organize them, and donate or toss items
- clean house thoroughly
- organize armoire (computer room)
- clean out junk drawer
- go through closets to donate unused items
- make a list of goals for the new year (not resolutions!)
- plan vacations
- purchase calendar notebook and enter special dates to remember
- check concert calendar
- upload photos to discs from the previous year
