so i tried sleeping in late this morning since i have today off but couldn't.  hubby decided he could not stay in bed any longer so he took roxy for a walk and watered the lawn while i ignored all the noises and got some more zzz's.  i wish i could have slept longer..up at 8ish...ugh.

i had lunch at mom's house while i waited to pick hubby up at the doc's office.  mom and i watched her fave spanish gossip show, we had a blast making jokes and poking fun at other peeps expense.  it was really nice hanging out with her in her home.  i don't go very often (i have my reasons that i would rather not talk about right now).  i could see how happy she was that i surprised her and stayed a while.  i have to admit, it felt good.

hubby was ready to have a late lunch when i picked him up.  we went to mimi's in los feliz and got stuck in traffic, what's new?  we hung out at home for the rest of the evening.  after some zzz's and me going stir crazy i decided to

read, blog, watch tv, called my bff but he's MIA.  now what?  my bros are watching dark knight again!  tomorrow will be the 3rd time they see it. we're going with them to westwood and yes tickets have already been purchased.

gosh i figured i would be happy to be home relaxing but since i'm so used to hanging out with friends on friday nights i think i am having withdrawals...bwahahahaha.

jeez, everything!  but for the most part i think it has to be that hubby is back from havasu.  he went to visit his bro.

the berlin show on friday night was a blast.  O-M-G they put on such a great show and she still sounds great and looks AMAZING!!!  all the guys kept calling her a MILF...lol.  as the show went on she kept undressing...you go girl! 

this was my first time seeing berlin...jeeez, brought back so many memories, totally blast from the past.  i remember back in the house party days this song was always played and there i was, cutting a rug.  lol.  good f'n times!

dinner last night with paulie was awesome.  we had mexican food at el coyote in la and of course since i wanted dessert we stopped at pozo gelato in silver lake (i hope that's the name).  anyway, i had fajitas and a pretty stiff cadillac margarita...or 2.  paulie had chile relleno and a enchilada and a cadillac margaita or 2.  LOLS!  we took some of the dumbest pics that i'm not sure i will post them....hee hee. 

i couldn't sleep last night so today i'm exhausted.  i want to take a nap before we head out to the berlin concert....fingers crossed that i don't get interupted. 

tomorrow we're going to my cousins's wedding, can't wait to catch up with family...

you can't really see the whole fireworks explosion but i posted it because of the background laughter...i will post video of the fireworks creation my buddy made...stay tuned!

• last night after getting my nails did (lol) some ramdom ahole in a ford expedition let me turn first at the stop sign,   as i proceeded to turn left he called me an f'n bitch.  WTF?  so i just smiled and drove even slower.
• tons of peeps were walking and running this morning on my way to work...they've inspired me.
• am i the only one working this holiday week?  the streets are sooo empty.
• my poor roxy is walking around the house terrified because of the fireworks.  he keeps his froggy toy in his mouth and hides in his bed.  i guess they are his security blanket.
• we're all going out tonight to another 80's concert to start the 4th of july holiday early. 
• tomorrow a couple friends and family are getting together at my house to bbq then we're checking out my friend's fireworks display.
• i need to go shopping this weekend for a wedding gift and an outfit for me...wish me luck.
• i uploaded firefox 3.0 yesterday and lost all my bookmarks, UGH!

this time we went to see which one's pink who is a pink floyd tribute band and led zepagain who is a led zeppelin tribute band at the crash mansion in downtown la.  we got there a little after 9:30pm and the place was not that crowded.  we figured it would be ok to get there a little late but the first band had already started...lame!

which one's pink comes pretty close to sounding like the real thing. they're a talented bunch and i highly recommend seeing them.  this is probably the 10th time we see them. 

led zepagain sounds pretty good however watching the lead singer and the new "jimmy page" is pretty comical.  check out the videos i posted, what say you?

we had another awesome time to say the least.  the venue closed earlier than usual so the show ended a little after 12:30am.  we headed to my house and hung out with another friend of ours in my patio.  we were up until about 3am talking about this and that.  reminiscing and what not.  i said, are we having an early mid-life crisis?  LOLS!!!

my friend and i were just talking the other day about how much we've changed and matured since our 20's.  i told him i wish what i knew now i knew then but that would be too easy right?  but then again i would not be the person i am today had i not gone through plenty of experiences and lessons learned.  my 30's have been very interesting minus the drama.  there always seems to be plenty of that to go around.  i'm really enjoying my 30's and can't wait to see what my 40's bring.

several times i've been contacted by websites through my flickr photo journal asking if they could use a particular photo.  one of the emails i got a month or so ago was from an online website asking if they could use a mike piazza photo i had taken several years ago at petco park.  i meant to agree to let them use it but then i had a brain fart and forgot to respond.  idiot!

just today i got another email...but this time my photo has been shortlisted for inclusion in the 5th edition of a SD guide.  woo hoo!
