so i tried sleeping in late this morning since i have today off but couldn't.  hubby decided he could not stay in bed any longer so he took roxy for a walk and watered the lawn while i ignored all the noises and got some more zzz's.  i wish i could have slept longer..up at 8ish...ugh.

i had lunch at mom's house while i waited to pick hubby up at the doc's office.  mom and i watched her fave spanish gossip show, we had a blast making jokes and poking fun at other peeps expense.  it was really nice hanging out with her in her home.  i don't go very often (i have my reasons that i would rather not talk about right now).  i could see how happy she was that i surprised her and stayed a while.  i have to admit, it felt good.

hubby was ready to have a late lunch when i picked him up.  we went to mimi's in los feliz and got stuck in traffic, what's new?  we hung out at home for the rest of the evening.  after some zzz's and me going stir crazy i decided to

gosh i figured i would be happy to be home relaxing but since i'm so used to hanging out with friends on friday nights i think i am having withdrawals...bwahahahaha.

first of all i want to wish all you mom's a happy mother's day.  we are starting the celebration early...it's mexican mother's day tomorrow so we are taking mom out to dinner.  we're taking her to have seafood because it's one of her favorite foods. 

tonight hubby and i are going to dinner and hopefully drinks because i could really use a stiff one.  ;-)) bahahahah.  hopefully we will not be too tired to hang out and listen to some music.  the place we are going to has live jazz so that will be fun.

tomorrow besides dinner with mom we are taking flat stanley to hollywood.  i hope the pics come out good.  i'm trying to come up with something creative and fun for my nephew.  i don't want him to  be disappointed.

i've been sooo busy that this week actually flew by.  it's incredible how fast time flies, literally.  hubby and i just celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary and i've been at my job for about 10 years now...wow!

i've got a pretty exciting weekend planned. and y'all know how i love to have FUN! 

tonight hubby and i are cooking out...turkey burgers, cole slaw with italian dressing, red onion, and peanuts.  since we got a killer bottle of tequila from my bro frank, we are going to taste some of that.  also hubby's cabo wabo tequila he's been dying to crack open since he splurged and bought it about a week ago.  hey, party over here!!!!

tomorrow i am going shopping with my brother raymond and moms.  woo hoo!  time to spend those gift cards!  plus i haven't spent time with mom for a while now, well besides last night.  she stopped to drop off my favorite fruit, mango, already chopped and we chatted for about an hour.  anyway, we're going shopping and then we're all getting together at my house to bbq and watch the de la hoya fight.  i had forgotten about the fight but my bff paulie brought it up so what a perfect excuse to get together.

i guess sunday i will lounge in my pjs (just like mr. lavender) and hang out.

Clarissa 9th Bday 074

first of all tonight i am picking up my nine year old god-daughter clarissa and we're getting our nails did (LOL).  not sure where we are going for dinner then she's running some errands with me.  i can't wait to hang out with her.  the last time i saw her was her birthday a couple months ago. 

tomorrow hubby and i are checking out the pet expo in cost mesa.  i can't wait!!!  i love animals and this will be our first time there.  i hope to find some cute stuff for roxy.

sunday i am meeting up with mamirosa.  this will my first "vox meet up".  as i mentioned in a previous post we met here on vox back in '06 and we've become pretty close friends.  i am very excited and a little nervous at the same time.

TGIF y'all!!!!

we don't have an exciting friday planned, except if you consider doing your taxes on a friday night @ 8pm exciting?! i am probably going to make dinner tonight and will work out, of course.

don't have plans for the rest of the weekend, TG.  but i am looking forward to doing whatever comes up!

wish us luck with our taxes...yikes!

this morning hubby and i went to get our blood work done.  it seems like it took FOREVER.  after we were done we indulged ourselves at our local fave bakery then back to work we went.

tonight we are going to run errands, things we have been procrastinating since we've been sick.  nothing exciting, going to costco then dinner someplace, not sure where?

i am looking forward to the lost 80's tour concert i'm going to with my bff tomorrow night.  i hope he doesn't flake out...grrr.  we are going to see flock of seagfulls, dramarama, when in rome, real life, and gene loves gezebel.
