What was the best thing about your weekend?
jeez, everything! but for the most part i think it has to be that hubby is back from havasu. he went to visit his bro.
but instead of writing it down, let me show you pics instead...
yesterday i spent most of the day with paulie. we had bfast at pie and burger in pasadena and then off to the rose bowl flea market and omg was it hot and muggy...disgusting! he found some more furniture for his apartment so it was worth it. after vegging a little bit we bbq. paulie and adolfo came over and hung out a bit.
welcome back hon!
What is the worst date you've ever been on?
jeez, i never really got a chance to date. in my younger days (lol) i went out with several guys, sometimes we dated for a while but nothing serious until i met hubby. hubby was always very shy but a very sweet guy. it took him forever to give me a kiss. i think i had to help him otherwise it wouldn't of happened, LOL! we dated for a year and then married. i was 20.
so my little cousin liz who we consider our little sister (we grew up together) got married last month and just moved up north last night. i knew she was going to leave soon, i just didn't expect her to leave last night without prior notice. plus i didn't get to say goodbye! i asked her to call me but i'm sure she didn't because the "water works" would have started to flow. i had talked to her for a minute yesterday and i started to cry so we hung up and told ourselves we would not say goodbye.
we celebrated her birthday this past saturday and we had a blast. it sure is going to be weird now without her. i am sure going to miss hanging out with her and seeing her when we visit my aunt...
i am happy for her and i'm glad that she has found true love. i am happy to see her start her new life. i am happy for her and her hubby.
i told her to call me for cooking tips (not that i'm a pro). she doesn't know how to cook so we gave her a cookbook i found at costco with tons of easy recipes and tips. i remember when i got married i was the same way. it took me forever to learn how to cook.
i know she will be fine. she's about 5 hours away but there's always phones and thank god for the internet!
i love you liz and i am going to miss you!
What decision changed the course of your life?

I'm having a bridal shower for my cousin (who's like a sister) at the end of next month and I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions on some fun games for us to play. The girls ages range from 20's to 50's. Any ideas?
I still have a list of things to do before the party but I've pretty much got the major items purchased. I started shopping for things a month or so ago. All the invites and evites have been sent too. Yesterday I ordered her cake and I didn't realize how expensive they are! I hope I made the right decision and hopefully they do a good job...fingers crossed. It's a basic round cake that feeds 40 peeps. It's a white-clean looking cake (like fondant) with 3 white roses with pink tips and lite green leaves. It will be decorated with white dots. I am going to reserve the tables, cloths and chairs today.
After I get back from Vegas, Liz and I are going to get some odds and ends done. We were thinking of getting some nasty candies and stuff so we could get everyone laughing and make dirty jokes. I'm sure that will be fun and a bit uncomfortable for all. =D
I got her some really cute lingerie already but I'd like to get her some other things...any ideas?
This is US last December...how pretty huh?
